This piece was inspired by the music by Madam Butterfly by Puccini. I saw this opera several years ago and it was so beautiful. Madam Butterfly is one of opera's most enduring tales of unrequited love a young Japanese girl falls in love with an American naval officer Pinkerton. The ending was tragic. But the paintings represents the beauty of the love presented.

I tried to put on canvas my passion I felt from this opera, where colors and shapes dance in harmonious chaos, mirroring the passion in the story. The tonal hues intersect and swirl, much like the melodies that intertwine in the opera's haunting arias.

The painting captures the essence of longing and loss, with bold brushstrokes that mirror the intensity of Butterfly's emotions. Just as Puccini's music evokes a multitude of feelings, this abstract artwork invites you to explore the depths of human connection and the nuances of heartache, creating a visual experience that resonates with the soul's most poignant melodies.
