A Place I Almost Remember explores the strange familiarity of memory—the feeling of recognizing something without being able to fully name it.
Layers of deep blue, teal, olive, charcoal, cream, and muted rust move through the surface like fragments of a place once known. Pale architectural forms emerge and disappear, while thin drawn lines suggest pathways, boundaries, or coordinates that no longer lead anywhere certain. Much of the painting is intentionally left unresolved, allowing earlier marks and buried passages to remain visible as evidence. 
 
Created through layers of acrylic, drawing, scraping, veiling, and intuitive mark-making, this piece reflects the way memory often returns—not as a complete story, but as color, atmosphere, sensation, and trace.
