This painting was created through layers of restraint, interruption, silence, and return.

I wanted the surface to feel like what remains after emotional noise fades — not emptiness, but evidence. Soft veils, erased gestures, raw marks, and open breathing space became part of the conversation inside this piece.

As I painted, I kept thinking about how life leaves traces beneath us. Some visible. Some hidden. Some softened over time but never fully erased.

I trust the mark before I fully understand it. This painting became less about control and more about allowing quiet moments to speak.
