The artist loved how this turned out. She was actually was COVERED in blue paint the first night she started working on the painting, as the paint soaked through her clothes, got in her hair, and her feet!!!! BUT she had fun.   

She used a wooden frame, stapled a cotton canvas onto the frame and did a very watery layer to allow the paint to soak into the canvas.  I then used industrial blue paper towel to dab up the paint and allow the under-painting to be a muted moddled appearance.  I then let it dry and add the final markings on top!!
