This piece has several layers of color but the piece of the painting that brings them all together are the smaller pencil markings and graphite markings throughout the to painting that connects all the larger swatches of color together. What I love is the added markings of the black with a very small small brush that was hardened on the end and it just gave the painting very unusual marks that I couldn't have gotten any other way.
